Accounts Assistant

The day to day running of the accounts for two overseas offices; Holland and UAE (purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and preparation of month end management accounts). The sales ledger side of the UK office (posting of cash received, maintaining customer accounts and preparation of credit notes).

Responsibilities:

UK Office

  • Processing cash receipts for all Elcometer Limited bank accounts; both GBP and currency accounts.
  • Processes cash receipts for two of the overseas offices; Holland and UAE.
  • Processing of credit notes.
  • Ad-hoc tasks required within the department.
  • Cover for credit control holidays.

BV Office

  • Providing the finance function for Elcometer BV based in Holland. This consists of posting cash received on a daily basis and weekly preparation of a cash forecast and overdues report for the Office Manager.
  • Responsible for the Aged Payables function of Elcometer BV; covering all aspects from PO production to invoice processing and finally, payment calculations and run preparation.
  • Staff expenses coding and salary payments.
  • Monthly management accounts and all balance sheet reconciliations, including a full bank reconciliation prepared on a monthly basis.
  • Credit control and credit limit authorisations.

UAE Office

  • Providing the finance function for Elcometer LLC based in Dubai. This consists of posting cash received on a daily basis and weekly preparation of a cash forecast and overdues report for the Office Manager.
  • Responsible for the Aged Payables function of Elcometer LLC, covering all aspects from PO production to invoice processing and finally payment calculations and run preparation.
  • Staff expenses coding and salary payments.
  • Monthly management accounts and all balance sheet reconciliations including a full bank reconciliation prepared on a monthly basis.
  • Credit control and credit limit authorisations.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT return.


About You: 

Experience

  • Working with overseas offices.
  • Have experience in all areas of the Job Description.
  • VAT knowledge and preparation.
  • Must have experience of working in an accounts environment.
  • Must have experience of balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Must have experience of producing management accounts.


Skills

  • Have knowledge of Epicor.
  • Have knowledge of ERP systems and accounts packages.
  • Have competent skills when using MS Office; specifically, MS Excel.
