Elcometer headquarters in Manchester, England have expanded their factory space after purchasing an adjoining site on Crabtree Lane, almost doubling the floor space to 10,730m² (115,500 sq.ft.).

The expansion comes after Elcometer announced their plans to launch a complete range of abrasive blast equipment, which includes dry abrasive blast machines, precision media valves, blast hose, blast nozzles and personal protection equipment.

“After over 70 years in the design, manufacture and supply of inspection equipment we are now extending our range to include blast equipment” said Michael Sellars, Managing Director at Elcometer, “Almost all of the 700 plus items in the new range will be manufactured here at our new production facility in Manchester, England.”

Whilst the main purpose of the additional factory space is to accommodate the manufacturing of the new range, the facility also includes a show room and offices.

In November 2017, the new production facility will be unveiled to distributors of Elcometer from around the world when they make their way to Manchester for a world conference to mark 70 years in business for the company.
