    • Summary

    • With a universal fit to all Blast Machines, Elcometer's range of RCV4000 pneumatic Remote Control Valves allow you to control the flow of compressed air directly from the blast nozzle using a deadman's handle.

Designed and built in Great Britain out of high grade, non-corrosive aluminium, the valves ensure the highest levels of safety and reliability in the field.

Enhancing productivity, the range is available with a 38mm (1½") diameter design which reduces system pressure losses by improving airflow. What's more, as the whole system can be quickly removed using two union joints, servicing and maintenance downtime is effectively minimised.

      Safe Control

Used with a deadman's handle, the Elcometer RCV4000 Remote Control valves have immediate start/stop capability, allowing you ultimate control over the blast stream.

Its built-in heavy duty exhaust valve ensures that shut downs are both safe and fast whilst the Exhaust Silencer traps small abrasive particles in the air as it exits the Blast Machine during depressurisation.

      Enhanced Airflow Design

The increased capacity 38mm (1½") diameter design, available with the RCV4000+, reduces pressure losses by improving airflow.

This ensures better performance at the working nozzle whilst allowing savings to the pressure inputted at the compressor.

      Easy to Service

When you are not blasting, you are not earning; that's why the RCV4000 is extremely easy to maintain.

The whole system can easily be replaced by undoing just two union joints (highlighted in orange), meaning that whilst the assembly is being serviced you can carry on blasting.

The RCV4000 Remote Control Valve Range Explained

      Add_a_heading

      Elcometer RCV4000:

The RCV4000 Remote Control Valve incorporates two valves in one unit, the lower unit controls the compressed air inlet and the upper unit controls the exhaust outlet as air exits the Abrasive Blast Machine.

A constant flow of compressed air is supplied to the unit at the lower port ‘air inlet’. Air is then released through the ‘air outlet’ to the Blast Machine and Hose. This is controlled via a pneumatic deadman’s handle which is connected to the 6mm (¼") inlet and outlet on the side of the valve. The deadman’s handle is connected to the unit via two airline hoses (known as twinline).

Closing the deadman’s handle lever activates the two valves simultaneously whilst releasing the deadman's handle deactivates the RCV4000 immediately. The Abrasive Blast Machine can also be depressurised by opening the red safety petcock on the RCV4000 valve body which acts an emergency stop for the system.

The RCV4000 is available with 32mm (1¼”) diameter ports meaning it is ideal for all blast machines which use remote control valves.

      Elcometer RCV4000+:

The Elcometer RCV4000+ operates in the same way as the standard RCV4000 but features an integrated air manifold with multiple air outlets, allowing you to attach ancillary equipment such as pressure gauges, ball vibration units and pressure relief valves.

The Elcometer RCV4000+ is available in three versions:

¾” (19mm): Specially designed for use with the Elcometer 1020 Blast Machine

1¼" (32mm): Compatible with any Blast Machine which uses a Remote Control Valve

1½" (38mm): Highest airflow capability, ideal for larger Elcometer Blast Machines.
