The new Elcometer 224 provides the very latest in surface profile measuring technology.
Elcometer have released a new digital surface profile gauge, the Elcometer 224. The gauge allows users to accurately measure both the average peak-to-valley height and the average maximum peak-to-valley height on flat or curved surfaces.
Three new measurement modes; ‘Immediate’, ‘Custom’ and ‘Standards’ allow the user to inspect surface profile according to their individual requirements. When working towards a specific International Standard, users are able to select a Standard and the Elcometer 224 will automatically set the data collection method accordingly. When selecting ASTM D 4417, users can even choose if the gauge stores the average or highest reading as the measurement.
With a fast reading rate of 50+ readings per minute and a measurement capability to ±5%, the new Elcometer 224 provides accurate and reliable peak-to-valley surface profile measurement. Users are able to store up to 150,000 readings in 2,500 batches and can instantly transmit the readings via USB or Bluetooth® into Elcometer’s free software application, ElcoMaster®.
To ensure that existing users of the Elcometer 224 are also able to access the latest surface profile measuring technology, Elcometer have announced that all current gauges can be updated online, for free, using ElcoMaster®. To find out how to do this, watch our how-to video here.
