To ensure appropriate arrangements for the effective planning, governance, organisation, control, monitoring, review and maintenance of the preventive and protective measures in place. To also promote responsible attitudes towards HS&E. To be responsible for all HS&E functions.

 Responsibilities:

  • Implementation, maintenance and improvement of a HS&E Improvement Programme.
  • Communicate the HS&E Improvement Programme and ensure that all functions of are aware of and understand their role within the program.
  • Delivery of presentations focused on objectives and goals.
  • Delivery of improvement workshops.
  • Coach and facilitate teams and individuals across all departments to identify and implement HS&E related opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach Managers to deliver actions and introduce an interdependent culture across the business.
  • Provide expertise, professional advice and guidance to the business in HS&E fields.
  • Define, develop and publish documentation and systems of work in line with a HS&E Improvement Programme to reflect best practice.
  • Facilitate and support Managers in root cause analysis to resolve HS&E problems.
  • Maintain and report all HS&E statistics (including environmental impacts).
  • Establish and maintain hazard spotting and accident reporting systems.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of HS&E legislation and advise management and staff accordingly.
  • Engage and liaise with occupational health surveillance monitoring within the site to ensure that the employees are not exposed to long term risk within the workplace and that the organisation is not exposed to liability.
  • Ensure that effective record keeping is in place for integrated safe systems of work.
  • Maintain safe systems of work for contractors and visitors.
  • Facilitate and support Managers with accident investigations to ensure corrective actions are implemented and disseminated throughout the company.
  • Conduct and support HS&E audits across the site.
  • Analyse and improve existing risk assessment process. Including monitoring risk assessments, identifying and completing to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Support and provide expertise, professional advice for risk assessments of processes and tasks in all departments.
  • Aid departments in managing on site contractors in HS&E compliance to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
  • In conjunction with the Group Head Of QHSE, ensure suitable objectives and KPIs are developed, monitored and actions are addressed.

About You: 

Experience

Essential

  • HS&E experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and implementation of HS&E legislation in a manor understandable to all employees.

Desirable

  • HS&E experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of managing a HS&E budget would be advantageous.
  • Working across multi-site and multi-cultural locations would be advantageous.
